The company is managed by five executive directors and four non-executive directors, who together bring more than 120 years of technical and healthcare services expertise across corporate leadership, financial management, case
management, quality of care, and facility operations, among others.
(i) Peter Ssekamate, (shareholder, Director).
Mr. Peter is an experienced corporate executive with more than 20 years of practice. He is responsible for providing day-to-day leadership and management of the company, coordinating major corporate decisions, managing overall resources of a company, acting as the main point of communication between the board and corporate operations, external relations with investors and other stakeholders, and increasing shareholders’ value. He is a member of engineering committee. He is a member of central governance board.
(ii) Dr. Andrew Nyeko (shareholder, Executive Director):
He is an experienced medical doctor with more than a decade of medical practice, handling diagnosis and treatment, surgical operations, and the general case management of clients, with technical expertise on internal
medicine, HIV/AIDS treatment and care, and emergency care.
He obtained his diploma in Clinical Medicine and Community Health from Gulu School of Clinical Officers and Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBchB) degree from the prestigious Kampala International
University medical school. He previously worked at Mulago Hospital, Galen Pharmacy and Laboratory, Kamwokya Christian Caring Community, and Mubende Regional Referral Hospital. He is a registered and active
member of Uganda Medical and Dental Practitioners Council, the professional body that regulates the practices of medical and dental doctors in Uganda. He is a member of central governance board.
(iii) Simon Wagalala (shareholder, Executive Director),
He is a senior orthopaedic officer with over a decade of experience in the healthcare industry. He is a member of Uganda Allied Health Professionals Council, and previously worked as country Director of Health
Home Initiative (HHI) and CBR coordinator in refugee settlements of West- Nile .
Currently aboard member of DENIVA, and former chairman of the steering committee of Uganda Cancer Society he is graduate of public Health from institute of health policy and management as well as graduate of SOURCE Program of American cancer society 2017/2020. He is a Director public Health in JMDS. Mr. Simon is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the company, including coordinating corporate affairs (personnel recruitment, development, and performance); procurement and logistics service; and general services administration.
He ensures that the company is operating optimally and liaises with the CEO to handle all internal processes, freeing up the CEO for more externally oriented stakeholder engagements. He is spoke’s person of the company and its investments. He is a member of central governance board and Head of planning committee.
(iv) Aukin John Peter (shareholder, Director):
He is an experienced public administrator with more than a decade of experience in humanitarian development practices. He obtained his Bachelor of Development Studies and Public Administration degree from Kampala International University, and previously worked with Lakimo Ltd, Cleon Foundation for Human Rights Initiative, and Desert Base, in various operating roles. He brings a wealth of experience in social care
management to the company. He is a member of procurement committee and central governance board.
(v) Andrew Ssemwogerere (shareholder, Director):
He is an expert on security and previously worked in Iraq as a US contractor. Currently working as a director of Desana Uganda Ltd and Peace Foundation Ltd as well as a representative of an American law firm
in Kampala. He holds a bachelor’s degree in information technology of Egypt University. He is Director ICT and project in company. He is a member of central governance Board of journey multi-specialty hospital.
He is member of planning committee of company.
(vi) Mula Anthony (Non-Executive Director)
He is a Private Secretary/Policy Analyst (Economic Affairs) to H.E the Vice President of the Republic of Uganda.
(vii) Shelton Tendai Mariga, (Non-Executive Director)
He is a Research Fellow, at Makerere University Lung Institute, in the College of Health Sciences, Mulago National Referral Hospital, Kampala.
(viii) Job Collins (Non-Executive Director)
He is financial modelling and valuation analyst, a management consultant, and chief executive of Castute Inc., an American corporation.
(ix) Oana John Bakalikwira (Non-Executive Director)
He is an Assist Commissioner in the Ministry of ICT and National Guidance of the Republic of Uganda.
